Keep brass dust off your laser, your lens and your lungs. Embossing and deep-engraving coins on a fiber laser throws off fine metal dust that drifts everywhere and works its way into your machine's exhaust fan. This box encloses the coin and pulls that dust straight into your vent, right where it's made.

How it works
-
Coin sits right on your metal bed. The base plate locates the coin with a through-pocket, so it rests on the laser's bed, not on plastic.
-
Channeled airflow. The top opening drops into a tube right over the coin, and a dedicated exhaust channel carries dust out the back to your vent. Nothing gets lost in empty corners.
-
Finger-loop side vent. A flush slider with the READY TO PRINT 3D wordmark opens a side air channel that sweeps across the coin face. Pull the finger loop to open it for extra cross-flow, push it closed to pull everything through the top.
-
Beam-fitted top opening. The opening is sized to the laser's beam path, so it stays as closed as possible without clipping the beam on any coin up to 50 mm (lens distances 150–500 mm, coin centered).
-
Slide-on housing. The housing slides along a dovetail on the base plate and clicks into place. Its outlet plugs straight into the vent bracket, so the air path is sealed from the coin to your fan.
-
Tool-free thumbscrews. The base plate locks down at all four corners, and the vent bracket with two more.
-
Centered on the laser. It mounts to the bed holes so the coin lands in the same spot every time. Set up your project once and run batches.
Options
-
Coin size: 32 mm, 40 mm or 50 mm. One housing fits every coin up to 50 mm; the base plate is what's sized to your coin. Plates swap in seconds, so if you run more than one size, add extra base plates.

Vent:
-
xTool: the stock xTool exhaust hose plugs on exactly like it does on the back of the machine.
-
4": clamps to standard 4" flex duct, such as AC Infinity.
-
4"/xTool Combo: a stepped outlet that takes either the 4" duct or the xTool hose.
-
Version:
-
Standard: a slim vent bracket that goes straight from the box to your hose.
-
Filter (MERV 13): the vent bracket has a slide-out filter tray that holds a MERV 13 pad to catch brass dust before it reaches your hose, fan or filter pack. Filter pad not included.
-
+ 4" Blast Gate: adds our clamp-on 4" blast gate with its open-seal cap (see below). Also sold on its own.
Need a coin size that isn't listed? Email info@rtp3d.com and we'll look at a custom size.
4" Blast Gate add-on
- Fits any 4" (100 mm) inline duct, splitter or fitting with a snug friction fit, then locks with a 4" hose clamp. Need a different size? Email info@rtp3d.com.
- Low-profile one-piece body with a snug-fitting blade that seals at the face when closed. Your 4" duct clamps onto the other end.
- Includes an open-seal cap: pull the blade and push the cap into the slot when you want that line fully open. The airway stays completely clear and the blade slot can't leak.
Filter pads (Filter version)
-
Filter pad not included. The tray takes a 94 × 94 mm square cut from any cut-to-fit MERV 13 filter media (sold in rolls and sheets online and at hardware stores). One 24" × 96" roll makes about 60 pads.
- Replace the pad when it's visibly loaded with dust or the airflow drops. Swapping a pad takes seconds.
Compatibility
- xTool F1 Ultra and F2 Ultra (MOPA). Mounts with M4 thumbscrews in the stock bed holes.
- Generic fiber / MOPA lasers with M5 holes on a 25 mm grid. The base plate and bracket have M5 holes too; leave a note at checkout and we'll include M5 thumbscrew knobs (M5 screws not included).
